LaVonna has been teaching lower grades at CAES for six years and has a diverse teaching background. She has a BA in Elementary Education and Spanish, and has over 25 years of experience in education with all grades levels in various capacities and subject areas. She has also worked one-on-one with students as a Certified Educational Therapist at the Joshua Institute and has a passion for helping students who struggle to learn. She is married to Mark, the math teacher at Gem State Adventist Academy. She has two children, Jenna and Jeremy, who are attending Walla Walla University. LaVonna and her family have lived in Idaho for 13 years and love to discover new places in this beautiful state and beyond!
